21 Choices 85 W. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91103

http://www.21choices.com/

Who doesn't like dessert? Well, we certainly do, but we find traditional desserts too sweet and fattening! But, frozen yogurt's okay right? This place is true to its namesake. The choices are vast, so don't be surprised if you become flustered by the sheer volume of possibilities. There are numerous mix-in's and frozen yogurt flavors to choose from, but the yogurt flavors change daily, so check the website for more info!

Babycakes NYC  130 East 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014

This is a delicious, vegan bakery located in Downtown, L.A. We love it because the sweets they offer are all created without using refined sugar, and they are still DELICIOUS! Must-haves: Red Velvet Cupcake, Cookie Sandwiches, Cinnamon Rolls (if available...). A store will also be opening soon in the Larchmont area!

BCD Tofu House 3575 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90010

http://www.bcdtofu.com/

This is one of our FAVORITE spots in all of Koreatown. Why? Because the food is always delicious, fast and piping hot! Soon tofu is actually both spicy and temperature hot, but don't let that keep you from trying it. This dish is really healthy, and good for those colder, L.A. nights. Plus, it's open 24hrs...can't really beat that!

Fat Fish 3300 W 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90020

We have been looking everywhere for a rotating sushi bar, and wouldn't you know it? We found one in Koreatown! This place is a great because they have Happy Hour specials, which means, $2 plates of sushi! And it's all chef's choice, so be on the lookout for some interesting creations! It's on the small side though, so expect a little bit of a wait.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the "Japanese Pizza" dish known as Okanomiyaki. We thought we would never have a decent taste of it again until we went back to Japan, but lo and behold, Gottsui opened recently in the Sawtelle area on the Westside. Thank goodness for them, since we were really missing the delicious cabbage based, teppanyaki styled dish. Must-haves: Vegetable Okonomiyaki, Beef, Green Onions and Sliced Yam Okonomiyaki, and Tofu Steak appetizer. A cold, tall glass of Asahi or Sapporo really enhances the meal!

J.Sweets Mitsuwa Marketplace, 21515 S. Western Ave., Torrance,CA 90501

This was a great find! We frequent the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Torrance, just because we like the Japanese styled food court and various other shopping areas besides the already awesome Japanese supermarket. As we finished our meal in the food court one day, we were craving something sweet, and the giant "Mochi Ice Cream" sign caught our attention. This is not your run of the mill, frozen mochi treat. This is a top shelf, designer mochi ice cream confection that is totally worth the trip! Must-haves: Sesame Ice Cream Mochi

Mr. Pizza 3881 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA

This is a great place to try new pizza fusions! The concoction pictured is called the Greek Gold pizza. We love this one because of the inspired mix of traditional Greek toppings served on a sweet potato crust! It doesn't sound like it would mix, but it does...oh it really does! The pasta dishes are delightful as well. They have a lunch special currently, offering a personal size pizza of the day and a side salad or pasta of the day. Perfect excuse to check them out!

Urth Caffe 451 S Hewitt St., Los Angeles

This trendy cafe is known for only brewing 100% organic coffee for their customers. It's a healthier and tastier way to get your coffee fix! We actually came to eat the food, which is tasty and healthy as well. It's a little pricey, but you know you're paying for quality goods at Urth. The sandwiches are great! The bread feels homemade, and the ingredients are all fresh, fresh, fresh! Next time, we will try the delicious looking desserts!

Veggie Grill 110 S. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036

http://veggiegrill.com/

This is hands down, our favorite place to eat a quick and healthy meal. Veggie Grill does not serve any meat. Instead, they serve a mixture of plant-based "veggie" proteins. Oh, and the most delicious sweet potato fries we've ever had! Even the chili is delicious! We give this place 5/5 stars every time we eat there since the service is amazing, the food is always prompt and delicious and the perks aren't bad either; on your birthday, you get a free meal! Make sure to visit them! Must-haves: sweet potato fries, buffalo wings, and the classic V-burger!
